Activism
We always welcome new active members. Activists may devote as little, or as much, time as they wish. Tasks may occupy as little as a few hours per year and can include proofreading, building retail sales in local outlets, writing reviews, helping staff the Group's stall at local history fairs and Burnley May Day Festival, contributing articles to this website (no web-building skills required!) and many other tasks that sustain our entirely volunteer-run Group.
If you would like to take an active part, please contact the Secretary in the first instance.
The Group committee meets four times a year, usually at the Working Class Movement Library in Salford. New members are always welcome. Current members are: Eddie Little (Chair), Pat Bowker (Secretary), John Smethurst (Treasurer and Membership Secretary), Alan Fowler, David Grundy, Ben Harker, Bob Hayes, Michael Herbert, Keith Ivison, Kevin Morgan, Eric Taplin and Stuart Vann.
Editor required!
Thanks go to Bob Hayes for his excellent tenure as Editor. In the absence of an editor the thirty-third edition of North West Labour History is being compiled by the Editorial Board. Nonetheless, we are keen to appoint an editor at the earliest opportunity. If you are interested or would like to know more please contact the Secretary.
The Editorial Board members are: Editor – position currently vacant, Pat Bowker, David Grundy, Ben Harker, Bob Hayes, Michael Herbert, Eddie Little and Stuart Vann.
